Tata Motors has announced that its compact SUV Tata Nexon has become India’s No.1 selling car for September 2025, reaffirming the brand’s leadership in safety and innovation. To mark the milestone, Tata has introduced Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) across the Nexon lineup and unveiled a new Red #DARK Edition, available in petrol, diesel, and CNG variants starting at ₹12.44 lakh.
The Nexon, the first Indian car to receive a 5-star safety rating, remains the only SUV to hold dual 5-star ratings from both GNCAP and BNCAP. The newly added ADAS suite includes advanced safety technologies such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and High Beam Assist, offering drivers a higher level of protection and convenience.
The newly launched Nexon Red #DARK Edition enhances the SUV’s sporty appeal with red-accented styling, piano black details, and exclusive Atlas Black finish. Inside, it features Granite Black interiors, red leatherette ventilated seats with contrast stitching, red dashboard highlights, and #DARK-embroidered headrests, combining luxury with Tata’s signature bold design.
Speaking on the occasion, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said, “Since its debut in 2017, Nexon has redefined India’s SUV segment with its bold design, performance, and unmatched safety. Becoming the No.1 selling car in September 2025 is a proud moment that reflects customer trust. The new Red #DARK edition and ADAS-equipped variants strengthen Nexon’s position as a progressive and premium SUV choice.”
The updated Nexon range, priced between ₹12.44 lakh and ₹14.15 lakh, continues to cater to diverse lifestyles with petrol, diesel, and CNG powertrains, further boosted by recent GST amendments that enhance its value proposition.
