Tata Technologies, Synopsys Partner To Drive SDV Innovation

Tata Technologies (NSE: TATATECH), a global product engineering and digital services company, has announced a strategic collaboration with Synopsys, a leading provider of engineering solutions from silicon to systems, to accelerate innovation in the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) space.

The partnership aims to help automotive manufacturers address the growing complexities of next-generation mobility by combining Tata Technologies’ deep expertise in vehicle engineering with Synopsys’ advanced virtualization and electronics digital twin (eDT) technologies. This collaboration seeks to empower original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to transition seamlessly into a software-led mobility era.

The two companies have already begun working with a leading European OEM to develop a blueprint for shifting from traditional E/E architecture to next-generation, software-defined designs. Similar pilot programs are underway with major OEMs across North America, Europe, and India, showcasing the partnership’s global scope.

Sriram Lakshminarayanan, Chief Technology Officer at Tata Technologies, said, “Our partnership with Synopsys is a purposeful step toward realizing a future driven by software-defined innovations. Together, we are enabling OEMs to deliver safer, smarter, and more sustainable vehicles.”

Tom De Schutter, Senior Vice President, Product Management & Markets Group at Synopsys, added, “By combining our digital twin, verification, and IP platforms with Tata Technologies’ engineering capabilities, we are helping OEMs accelerate development and delivery of AI- and software-defined vehicles.”

The collaboration will span key SDV domains, including ADAS, powertrain, chassis, body systems, central compute, infotainment, and electrification.
