Teen girl murdered, body dumped in train coach

Police in Uttar Pradesh have arrested three persons, including the father of a 15-year-old girl, in connection with the murder and disposal of her dismembered body inside a train coach at Gomti Nagar railway station in Lucknow.
The mutilated body of the girl, identified as Shabba, was discovered on May 17 inside a tin box kept in a sleeper coach of a parked train.
Her limbs were reportedly packed separately in another bag, while her head was missing.
During investigation, police found that the girl had been in a relationship with a boy from another community, which was allegedly opposed by her father, Bikkan Ansari.
According to police, Ansari, along with his daughter Noorjahan and her husband Mujibullah, allegedly murdered Shabba on May 16 after she refused to end the relationship.
Investigators said Ansari had sent his wife and two sons to a relative’s house before carrying out the crime. After the murder, the accused allegedly dismembered the body and disposed of the head in a pond to conceal the victim’s identity.
CCTV footage from Tamkuhi Road railway station in Kushinagar district reportedly showed the three accused placing the tin box inside the train compartment. Based on the footage and subsequent inquiry, police arrested all three suspects.
