Telangana Family Serves 100-Dish Feast, Gifts Gold to Son-in-law for Dussehra

In a grand display of festive hospitality, a family in Wanaparthy district, Telangana, served a 100-dish feast to their son-in-law as part of the Dussehra celebrations, and even presented him with a sovereign gold ornament.
According to reports, Gutta Sahana from Wanaparthy had invited her newly married daughter and son-in-law, Nikhit from Warangal district, to celebrate the Navratri festival at their home. Ahead of their arrival, Sahana promised to prepare 101 varieties of dishes for her son-in-law. In a light-hearted challenge, Nikhit jokingly said that if even one item was missing, he should be gifted a piece of jewellery. Staying true to her word, Sahana and her family prepared an elaborate spread that included 60 varieties of sweets, 30 vegetable dishes, and 10 types of rice-based delicacies — totalling 100 dishes. The family’s gesture, filled with humour and affection, ended with Nikhit receiving a gold sovereign as a symbolic gift, making the Dussehra celebration one to remember.
