The South India Unit of the Textile Association (India) will host the 78th All India Textile Conference in Coimbatore on November 21 and 22. The event, themed “Global Textiles: Unearthing Opportunities,” will be held at Hotel Le Meridien and is expected to attract around 600 delegates from across the country.
Details of the conference were announced at a press meet held at the Coimbatore Cosmopolitan Club. The briefing was led by T. Rajkumar, Chairman of the Conference Committee and Immediate Past Chairman of CITI; Sathyanarayana, President, TAI–South India; K. Ramalingam, Conference Convener; and Sivakumar, Secretary, TAI–Coimbatore.
Organized in collaboration with the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC), the two-day event will focus on key themes such as global apparel consumption trends, innovations in cost and waste management, energy-efficient technologies, export opportunities through advanced manufacturing methods, evolving tax and economic policies, automation and robotics in textiles, and eco-friendly production practices. These topics will be explored through expert presentations and panel discussions featuring industry leaders from India and abroad.
Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Chairman and Managing Director of LMW, will be the Chief Guest and will present the Industrial Excellence Awards to Durai Palanisamy, Executive Director, Pallavaa Group, and L.S. Manivannan, Chairman and MD, LS Mills Ltd., Theni.
K.M. Subramanian, CMD of KM Knitwear, Tiruppur (and TEA Chairman), will release the conference souvenir, to be received by T. Rajkumar. A keynote address will be delivered by Dr. K.V. Srinivasan of Premier Mills Pvt. Ltd., followed by a special address by Sivaraj Prabu, MD, Sivaraj Spinning Mills Pvt. Ltd. Krishnakumar (Kannan), MD, Sulochana Cotton Mills Pvt. Ltd., will offer felicitation.
Leading machinery manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and industrialists will participate and deliberate on emerging challenges and opportunities shaping the textile sector.
