A Class X student of Singaram Pillai Higher Secondary School brought laurels to the institution by winning a bronze medal in the Thiruvallur District Sub-Junior Under-17 Badminton Championship 2026 held at Feathers Badminton Academy, Ambattur, on August 1 and 2.
The championship was organised by the Thiruvallur District Badminton Association. S. Mohan, son of Suresh and Mahalakshmi, displayed an impressive performance throughout the tournament and advanced to the semi-finals before securing the bronze medal by finishing third.
Fellow players and office-bearers of the Thiruvallur District Badminton Association congratulated S. Mohan on his achievement and wished him success in future tournaments.
