Three young men were killed after a speeding car collided head-on with a motorcycle on the new flyover along Karaikudi Road near Ranipet on Wednesday.
The victims — Dinesh (20), Sajan (26) and Balamurugan (19) — were travelling on a bike when the speeding car reportedly rammed into them on the flyover. All three sustained severe injuries in the crash.
Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the Walajapet Government Hospital, but all three died while undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit.
Ranipet police are investigating the cause of the accident.
