Three-Year-Old Boy Rescued After Falling Into Borewell

A three-year-old boy who fell into a newly dug borewell while playing near his house in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur district was rescued safely after a nine-hour operation by rescue personnel and local volunteers.
Police said the incident occurred on Thursday night at Chak Samana village near Bikowal on the Hoshiarpur-Dasuya Road.
The child, identified as Gurkaran Singh, accidentally fell into the borewell and was trapped at a depth of around 20 to 30 feet.
Rescue teams, along with local volunteers, launched an intensive operation and successfully brought the boy out safely after nearly nine hours of efforts.
Officials said the child was immediately provided medical attention and was reported to be safe.
