The Tiruppur Basketball Team emerged champions in the district-level men’s basketball tournament held at Dharapuram in Tiruppur district.
The tournament was organised by the Dharapuram Basketball Team and witnessed participation from 12 teams from various parts of the district.
The matches were conducted in a knockout format.
In the final, the Tiruppur Basketball Team defeated the Udumalai Basketball Team by 61-38 points to clinch the championship trophy. Udumalai Basketball Team secured the runners-up position.
Trophies were distributed to the winning teams in the presence of special guests and sports officials.
Tiruppur District Basketball Association President Professor Swaminathan, Secretary Krishnamoorthy and Tiruppur Basketball Team President Selvaraja Palanisamy congratulated the players for winning the title.
