A landmark “Major Vascular Plastic Tube Insertion Workshop” was successfully conducted by the Department of Anesthesiology at Government Tiruvannamalai Medical College and Hospital, creating a new chapter in emergency care training and medical education.
The initiative aimed to enhance doctors’ precision and expertise in vascular cannulation, a critical life-saving procedure essential during medical emergencies such as trauma cases, complicated childbirths, and intensive care situations. The hands-on workshop provided extensive training to more than fifty doctors, helping them strengthen their emergency response and critical care skills.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. V.P. Mohan Gandhi, Principal of Tiruvannamalai Medical College, who emphasized that the workshop represents a significant step forward in improving clinical efficiency and patient outcomes. Dr. Malathi, Hospital Superintendent, delivered a special address, stating that such initiatives would mark the beginning of new advancements in the medical field.
Professor Dr. Balamurugan, Department of Anesthesiology, welcomed the gathering and expressed pride in the successful conduct of the program. The event was graced by Vice Principal Dr. Sangeetha, Station Doctor Dr. Kathir, and Associate Professors Dr. Kalasree and Dr. Saravanan.
Assistant Professors from the Department of Anesthesiology coordinated the workshop and ensured seamless arrangements. It was noted that this is the first workshop of its kind held at Tiruvannamalai Medical College, focusing on modern medical techniques in vascular access.
In his concluding remarks, Principal Dr. V.P. Mohan Gandhi praised the Department of Anesthesiology for their dedication, stating that such workshops play a vital role in advancing life-saving medical services and developing skilled healthcare professionals.
Doctors who participated said the program would serve as a milestone in emergency care training and further strengthen Tiruvannamalai Medical College’s reputation for medical excellence.
