Mupperum vizha of the Government Transport Pensioners’ Welfare Association was held at the DMDK head office in Chennai.
The event included:
World Pensioners’ Day celebration, a felicitation ceremony for those who participated in the stir held in Chennai on World Pensioners’ Day last year, and a felicitation for the trade union and political party leaders, journalists, and those who filed cases in court for the DA (Dearness Allowance) increase, for their support to theprotest.
In the meeting, the association’s State President D. Kathiresan, General Secretary N. Loganathan, Treasurer V. Pechiappan, State executives N. Natarajan, K. Kumaravelu, R. Ramakrishnan, and Chennai regional executives A. Abdul Azeez, M. Jayabalan, and M. Manickavelu participated in the event.
