Toyota Kirloskar Motor Partners with Japan’s DRUM TAO as Brand Ambassadors

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced Japan’s world-renowned performance group, DRUM TAO, as its new brand ambassadors. Known globally for their energetic stage presence, intricate choreography, and unique musical interpretations, the group will soon bring their artistry to Indian audiences.

Highlighting Toyota’s Japanese heritage and strong connection with India, the collaboration aims to promote values of harmony, innovation, and inclusivity. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement, said:

“At Toyota Kirloskar Motor, we believe in creating meaningful connections that go beyond mobility. Our association with DRUM TAO reflects this spirit—where tradition meets modern innovation. Music and rhythm have a universal appeal, especially among today’s youth, who seek vibrant and inspiring experiences, values aligned with Toyota’s vision of ‘Happiness for All.’”

DRUM TAO is acclaimed for their mastery of Wa-Daiko drums, traditional Japanese barrel-shaped instruments tied to folklore and spirituality. Their performances also feature modern takes on instruments like the Shinobue (flute), Koto (harp), and Syamisen (guitar), blending ritualistic tradition with modern stage spectacle.

The troupe has earned global recognition, including the Japan Tourism Agency Commissioner Award and the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Award from the Japanese government.

As part of the partnership, DRUM TAO will headline a 14-city India tour in November and December 2025, offering audiences a cultural experience that bridges nations and generations. Tour schedules and behind-the-scenes glimpses will soon be shared on TKM’s website and social media platforms.
