TV supporting actress dies after consuming pills following marital dispute

A television supporting actress allegedly died by suicide after consuming a large quantity of pills following a prolonged marital dispute. The incident has caused shock in the Saidapet area of Chennai.
The deceased has been identified as Rajeshwari (39), a resident of Saidapet. She had acted in supporting roles in several television serials and was married.
The couple had been living in the Muthialpet area of Chennai.
Police said that Rajeshwari and her husband had been facing frequent disagreements for a long time.
A few days ago, the couple reportedly had a serious quarrel, after which Rajeshwari left her marital home and went to stay at her mother’s house in Saidapet.
It is said that Rajeshwari was under severe mental stress due to the ongoing marital issues.
On the night before yesterday, while staying at her mother’s house, she allegedly consumed a large quantity of tablets in an attempt to end her life.
Her parents immediately rushed her to a nearby private hospital, where she was given first aid.
She was later referred to the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for further treatment.
Despite intensive medical care, Rajeshwari died on Wednesday morning.
The Saidapet police have registered a case and are investigating whether the suicide was solely due to marital discord or if any other reasons were involved. Further inquiry is under
