The Tamil Nadu Assembly witnessed a striking visual moment on Monday as women MLAs of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) arrived wearing sarees of the same pink
shade.
The Assembly proceedings had drawn considerable attention as Chief Minister Vijay was scheduled to deliver the reply to the demands for grants for the Police Department. He delivered his reply amid an intense debate.
Among the TVK women legislators who attended the proceedings, 11, including Keerthana, Kamali, Jegadeeswari and Vijayalakshmi, were dressed in matching pink sarees, adding a distinct visual appeal to the Assembly proceedings. Thahirah was the only TVK MLA among the group who did not wear a saree in the same colour.
Meanwhile, TVK MLA Pallavi reportedly met Chief Minister Vijay along with her child. During the meeting, Vijay is said to have signed the child’s clothing in green ink with the words “Piriyamudan
Vijay”.
