Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin arrived here by air this morning and was received by DMK executives before continuing by road to Salem.
In Salem, he will preside over a state-level program of the Tamil Nadu Women’s Development Corporation, where bank loan linkage identity cards worth Rs 2,000 crore are being distributed to women self-help groups across Tamil Nadu.
Ahead of the Salem event, identity cards were distributed to members of self-help groups in Coimbatore district at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University convocation hall. Coimbatore MP Ganapathy P. Rajkumar and District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar, IAS, took part in the function and handed over the cards.
