Udhayanidhi Names Baby ‘Udaya Suryan’ During Campaign

Deputy Chief Minister and DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin named a baby boy “Udaya Suryan” during an election campaign in Chennai on Friday, drawing enthusiastic response from party workers and the public.
Udhayanidhi Stalin was campaigning in support of DMK candidate Prabhakar Raja in the Virugambakkam Assembly constituency. Prabhakar Raja, who was elected as an MLA from the constituency in 2021, has been renominated by the party for the upcoming Assembly elections.
During the campaign, a couple approached Udhayanidhi Stalin with their newborn and requested him to name the child. Upon being informed that it was a boy, he named the baby “Udaya Suryan,” the party’s election symbol, amid cheers from the crowd.
Prabhakar Raja, son of Tamil Nadu Merchants Federation leader A.M. Vikramaraja, is also serving as South Chennai District Youth Wing organiser of the DMK.
Senior DMK leaders, including Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, are actively engaged in statewide campaigning as the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections approach.
