Union Bank of India Organises Vigilance Awareness Walk in Salem

As part of Vigilance Awareness Week, the Union Bank of India, Salem Regional Office, organised a series of public outreach and awareness programmes to promote transparency, accountability, and anti-corruption values.
The weeklong observance featured medical camps, tree plantation drives, and village awareness programmes aimed at sensitising the public about the importance of vigilance and ethical conduct in daily life.
On October 27, an anti-corruption pledge ceremony was held at 11 a.m., during which all bank employees solemnly pledged to uphold honesty, integrity, and transparency in their professional duties.
Continuing the initiative, a Vigilance Awareness Walk was held today from the Union Bank of India Regional Office to Salem Railway Junction. The walk served to spread the message of collective responsibility in building a corruption-free society.
Regional Head P.M. Senthil Kumar, Deputy Regional Head M.N. Manjunath, and several bank officials and employees participated in the rally. Participants carried banners and raised slogans promoting vigilance and ethical banking practices.
The programme underscored Union Bank’s commitment to fostering integrity, reinforcing public trust, and encouraging citizens to play an active role in fighting corruption.
