UP man kills wife, three children, then hangs himself in Sravasti village tragedy

A horrific incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Shravasti district has shocked the local community, after a man allegedly murdered his wife and three children before taking his own
life.
The accused, identified as Rafiq, had recently returned from Mumbai to Sarvann Tara village in Ikauna tehsil with his family.
On Saturday night, a heated domestic dispute reportedly broke out between Rafiq and his wife, Shanas. In a violent escalation, Rafiq is believed to have strangled Shanas and their three children — Moin, Tapasham, and Gulneesh.
Following the killings, Rafiq reportedly hanged himself inside the same room.
Neighbors alerted the police on Sunday morning, after noticing that the house had been unusually quiet.
On arrival, authorities recovered the bodies and sent them for
autopsy. A detailed investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances that led to this tragic act.
The village is in a state of mourning, grappling with the loss of an entire family in an unimaginable turn of
events.
