The Additional District and Sessions Court in Madurai will deliver its verdict on March 23 in the sensational Sathankulam custodial death case of 2020.
Judge Muthukumaran of the Madurai Additional District and Sessions Court is scheduled to pronounce the judgment in the case relating to the deaths of P. Jayaraj and his son J. Bennix, who allegedly died following custodial torture in Sathankulam in Thoothukudi district.
The case, which sparked nationwide outrage, pertains to the alleged assault of the father and son during police interrogation in June 2020. Nine persons, including a police inspector, were arrested in connection with the incident.
