Vijay Claims Real Congress Support, Targets DMK And BJP

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam leader Vijay on Tuesday asserted that the “real Congress” stands with his party, alleging that the Tamil Nadu Congress has been influenced by the DMK.
Campaigning in Tirunelveli in support of party candidates, Vijay launched a sharp attack on both the DMK and BJP alliances. He claimed that despite appearing separate, both alliances share a common objective of preventing his political growth.
Vijay said the current political situation would have been different if the DMK had full control, and added that his emergence had disrupted their functioning. He alleged that established parties were unable to engage in corruption after his entry into politics, which, he said, had led to their opposition.
He further claimed that alliance dynamics were weak, suggesting that even partners lacked mutual support, while accusing the BJP leadership of exerting dominant control.
Alleging that the Tamil Nadu Congress had been “bought” through monetary influence, Vijay maintained that genuine Congress supporters were backing his party. He also claimed that the DMK had lost its support among minority communities and that there was growing support for his movement.
Highlighting his political journey, Vijay said he had connected with people at the grassroots level before launching his party, stating that his movement was built on direct public engagement.
