Actor Vijay Deverakonda escaped unhurt after his car met with an accident on the Hyderabad–Bengaluru National Highway (NH-44) in Jogulamba Gadwal district, Telangana, while returning to Hyderabad from Puttaparthi.
According to police sources, the incident occurred when Deverakonda’s car collided with another four-wheeler near Katwal village on Sunday evening. Though the car sustained minor damage, the actor and his team were unharmed.
Soon after the news broke, Deverakonda reassured fans through a post on his X (formerly Twitter) page. “Everything is fine. The car was damaged, but we are all okay. I just got back home after doing a strength workout,” he wrote.
Adding a touch of humor, the actor said, “My head hurts, but there’s nothing that biryani and sleep can’t fix. Sending you all big hugs and love. Don’t let the news stress you out.”
Meanwhile, reports confirm that Vijay Deverakonda and actress Rashmika Mandanna recently got engaged at a private ceremony in Hyderabad. The couple, however, has not issued an official statement.
Police have confirmed that no one was injured in the mishap and that a preliminary inquiry into the cause of the collision is underway.
