Chief Minister Vijay is scheduled to travel to the United Kingdom on September 10 as part of efforts to attract investments to Tamil Nadu. A delegation of senior officials from the Industries Department is also expected to accompany him during the visit, which is scheduled to continue until September 16.
During the visit, the Chief Minister and officials are expected to meet business leaders and investors from the UK and other countries and invite them to invest in Tamil Nadu.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged that Vijay is likely to watch actor Ajith Kumar compete in the Michelin Le Mans Cup race during his UK visit.
The Silverstone round of the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup is scheduled to be held in the UK from September 11 to 12. The official race schedule lists the main race at Silverstone on September 12. Earlier, the Tamil Nadu Government had announced plans to establish a new motorsports city and international-standard racing facilities and training centres to encourage motorsports among youngsters and facilitate international events.
Ajith Kumar had subsequently thanked the Tamil Nadu Government for announcing plans to give greater importance to motorsports and improve sports infrastructure.
