Vijay releases video of Silverstone visit during London trip

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Monday released a video capturing his visit to the famous Silverstone Racing Circuit in the United Kingdom.
Vijay had left Chennai for London on September 10 to attract new investments to Tamil Nadu. During his visit, he attended the Le Mans Cup race at Silverstone in which actor and racing driver Ajith Kumar participated. Vijay flagged off the race and watched the event. The Chief Minister had recently announced under Rule 110 in the Tamil Nadu Assembly that a world-class Motor Sports City would be established in Tamil Nadu. As part of the initiative, he visited the Silverstone Motor Racing Circuit to study global motorsport infrastructure and understand the best practices followed at the facility. During his London visit, Vijay also held discussions with industrialists on attracting investments to Tamil Nadu. The meetings resulted in investment commitments exceeding Rs. 11,000 crore, besides the signing of several memoranda of understanding. The video released by Vijay features his arrival at the Silverstone circuit, flagging off the car race, travelling in a car with Ajith Kumar and interacting with people while dressed in racing attire. The video has since gone viral on social media.
