Images resembling Vinayagar idols designed in the style of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay have gone viral on social media ahead of Vinayagar Chaturthi, which will be celebrated on September 14.
Vinayagar idols in various designs have started arriving in Tamil Nadu from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka states ahead of the festival.
The viral images appear to show Vinayagar idols replicating a hand gesture recently made by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay in the State Assembly. The gesture had attracted widespread attention on social media.
Images and videos depicting the deity in a pose resembling Vijay’s viral gesture are now circulating widely on social media.
However, it has not been confirmed whether the images are of an actual Vinayagar idol or were generated or digitally created using artificial intelligence technology.
