Vision 2030 Coimbatore document released by Collector Pavankumar

Following the special address of Chief Minister M K Stalin marking the completion of the “Tell Me Your Dream” initiative, the book “En Ur En Kanavu – Vision 2030 Coimbatore” and the five year achievement souvenir were released by District Collector Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar at a function held at Karpagam University in Eachanari on March 6.
The programme was organised through video conferencing after the Chief Minister’s address from Chennai. The publications were brought out by the Department of Information and Public Relations highlighting development initiatives and future plans for Coimbatore district.
Mayor K Ranganayaki Ramachandran, Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabhakaran, Additional Collector (Development) Sangeth Balwant Wage, District Revenue Officer P Narayanan and Deputy Mayor R Vetriselvan participated in the event along with municipal representatives, officials from various departments, volunteers and members of women’s self help groups.
A short film explaining the “My Home, My Dream – Vision 2030 Coimbatore” development framework was screened during the event. The District Collector also distributed free house site pattas to eight beneficiaries through the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department and provided free laundry boxes worth Rs 21,840 to three beneficiaries.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said the Vision 2030 document has been prepared based on the aspirations and suggestions of the public to ensure sustainable, inclusive and balanced development in Coimbatore district.
He said the development strategy has been designed under the VIBGYOR framework, integrating key sectors such as health, industry, infrastructure, environmental protection, agriculture, youth empowerment and rural development, with the aim of transforming Coimbatore into a model district by 2030.
