A consultation meeting to review membership enrolment and welfare schemes for Christian pastors and church staff was held at the Coimbatore District Collectorate on February 24 under the chairmanship of Vijila Satyanand, Chairperson of the Tamil Nadu Christian Pastors and Staff Welfare Board.
District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar, District Revenue Officer P. Narayanan, District Backward Classes Welfare Officer N.A. Sangeetha and Additional Superintendent of Police Soundararajan attended the meeting along with Board members Sathyapalraj, M. Emmanuel, Jepanesan and Roslin Jeeva.
Vijila Satyanand distributed welfare identity cards to eight members and urged pastors, deacons and church workers to enrol in the Board, launched in 2022.
She noted that Rs. 34.97 lakh in small business aid was extended to 358 beneficiaries through the Christian Women’s Aid Society in 2025-26 and highlighted government grants for church renovation and cemetery compound walls.
