Will AIADMK finalise alliance before Amit Shah’s visit?

The assembly elections in Tamil Nadu are scheduled to be held in March or April. The election date is expected to be announced in January or February. Due to this, the parties are busy finalizing the alliance. As far as DMK is concerned, all the parties in the alliance are united.
At the same time, the BJP, which was part of the AIADMK alliance, contested the last Lok Sabha elections as a separate team. After facing a crushing defeat in that, the BJP has decided to contest the upcoming assembly elections as an alliance. But the PMK, which was in the AIADMK & BJP alliance, has now split into two. Due to this, it is not known which side it will go. The DMDK, frustrated for not given Rajya Sabha seat, has said that it will announce the alliance only in January.
O. Panneerselvam has been saying that he should be included in the AIADMK. Edappadi Palaniswami has said that he cannot. Frustrated by this, O. Panneerselvam is reportedly in talks to join the DMK or the TVK alliance.
Similarly, TTV Dinakaran has also been saying that he will join the AIADMK alliance if Edappadi is replaced as the chief ministerial candidate. In this context, Union Minister Piyush Goyal came to Chennai to talk about the alliance. Edappadi Palaniswami met him. At that time, he said that since no one came to the alliance, he will take care of the responsibility of forming the alliance and left. But the BJP’s efforts to bring O. Panneerselvam and TTV Dinakaran into the alliance have also stalled. However, the effort continues.
Meanwhile, the closing ceremony of Tamil Nadu BJP leader Nainar Nagendran’s campaign tour is scheduled to be held in Pudukkottai on January 4. Union Minister Amit Shah will be visiting Tamil Nadu for the occasion. Piyush Goyal has decided to conclude talks with the parties that are going to join the AIADMK & BJP alliance before Amit Shah’s arrival. It is said that Piyush Goyal wants to decide on the seat sharing of the BJP in the AIADMK alliance and start the work. But Edappadi Palaniswami feels that if the alliance parties are decided earlier and talks start, the AIADMK may come under pressure.
In this situation, since Amit Shah is coming to Tamil Nadu, it is said that Piyush Goyal is planning to come to Tamil Nadu in advance. He is going to meet Edappadi Palaniswami in person and discuss. But it is doubtful whether there will be seat-sharing talks with the BJP side without deciding on the alliance parties.
So, the question arises, will Piyush Goyal’s plan work? Will it yield results before Amit Shah’s arrival?
