Within 10 months of first marriage, Afghan Cricketer marries again

Afghanistan’s star cricketer Rashid Khan has entered into a second marriage, just 10 months after his first wedding, creating a buzz across Afghan media and social platforms.
Rashid Khan, the T20 captain of the Afghanistan cricket team, has so far played 108 T20 Internationals and taken 182 wickets.
The 27-year-old cricketer first married in October 2024 in Kabul, on a day that drew wide attention as his three brothers — Amir Khalil, Sakiullah and Raza Khan — also got married in the same ceremony.
Confirming the development, Rashid revealed that his second marriage took place a few months ago, on August 2. Posting on Instagram, he wrote: “I started a new and meaningful chapter in my life on
August 2.
I married a woman who has the love and peace I always wanted. She is my wife; there is nothing to hide. We stand together. Thank you to everyone who has shown compassion, support and understanding.” News of Rashid Khan’s second marriage — coming less than a year after his first has sparked widespread discussion.
Photographs from the wedding ceremony are now going viral on social
media.
