Youths chase and sexually harass woman on two-wheeler

A disturbing incident of sexual harassment has sparked outrage in Bengaluru after a young woman riding a two-wheeler was chased by three youths on another bike along Silk Board Road late at night.
The incident occurred around 10 pm and was captured on the dashboard camera of a car travelling behind the woman.
The video, which has since gone viral on social media, shows three youths riding triple-seat on a two-wheeler, none of them wearing helmets, in clear violation of traffic rules.
According to the car owner who shared the footage online, the youths chased the woman for nearly two-and-a-half kilometres.
He said he recorded the video to preserve evidence and later attempted to stop the offenders, but they managed to escape.
The viral video caused widespread concern and anger among city residents and soon came to the notice of the Bengaluru Police.
Acting swiftly, police intensified efforts to trace the accused.
Officials said the registration details of the two-wheeler used in the incident have been identified and assured that the youths involved will be traced and booked under relevant sections of law.
The incident has once again raised serious concerns about women’s safety on Bengaluru roads during late-night hours.
