RAIS Skating festival held at GRG Modern Scholars Cambridge School

The campus of GRG Modern Scholars Cambridge School came alive with sporting enthusiasm as it hosted the RAIS Skating Festival organised under the aegis of the Regional Association of International Schools (RAIS).
Young skating enthusiasts from schools across the region participated in the festival and showcased their speed, technique, balance and confidence on the
rink.
The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a prayer song. Students presented a skating dance performance, followed by a musical performance by teachers. Sunitha, Correspondent of GVK Vidhya Mandir CBSE School and Venkatalakshmi Matriculation Higher Secondary School, and Veena Kumari, Principal, were among those present. Karunambikeswari, Principal of Chandrakanthi Public School, also attended the event.
Department heads and representatives from various sectors participated in the programme. Students aged between six and 19 competed in different age categories, displaying discipline, determination and sporting spirit. Medals and certificates were presented to the outstanding performers during the prize distribution ceremony. The organisers said the festival provided young skaters with an opportunity to demonstrate their sporting abilities while developing perseverance, discipline, confidence and a competitive spirit.
