EEDISSIA trade and industrial expo to begin in Erode on Sept. 26

A three-day industrial and trade exhibition organised by the Erode District Small Industries Association EEDISSIA will begin at Parimalam Mahal on Perundurai Road here on September 26.
Speaking at a meeting held at the EITCIA office on Tuesday, exhibition chairman V. Saravanan said the sixth edition of the exhibition, titled ‘EEDISSIA i-TEC 2026’, would be held from September 26 to 28.
Collector S. Kandasamy will preside over the inaugural function. P. Umanath, Principal Secretary and Director of the Labour and Commercial Taxes departments, will participate. Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management K.A. Sengottaiyan will inaugurate the exhibition. Handlooms and Textiles Minister M. Vijay Balaji and Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises P. Madan Raja will participate as special invitees and release the EEDISSIA i-TEC
souvenir.
As many as 160 stalls will showcase products, technologies and industrial solutions from various parts of Erode district. Food products, plastic goods, engineering products, textiles and cotton-based products, agricultural products and other industrial and commercial products will be displayed.
The exhibition is being organised with support and guidance from the Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC), District Industries Centre and ZED, besides subsidy assistance through MSME and FaMe TN. The exhibition will provide MSMEs an opportunity to showcase their products and technologies directly to the public, customers, industrialists and traders. Buyer-seller meets and business networking sessions will also be organised to facilitate new business contacts.
The event will also help manufacturers market their products on a wider scale, reach new customers and explore new business opportunities, Mr. Saravanan said. EEDISSIA president Kandhasamy, exhibition secretary Suresh, treasurer Ravishankar, former presidents Thirumoorthy and Venkatesh, coordination committee administrator Kumaresan and secretary Saravanan Babu were among those present.
