Ahead of the festive season, Amazon India announced plans to add 50 new Ashray centres across the country, taking the total network to 200. The company is on track to reach 250 Ashray centres by the end of 2026. Amazon also expanded its mobile Ashray vans to Bengaluru, making it the fourth city after Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
“With the festive season driving a sharp increase in deliveries, it is more important than ever that drivers across the industry have access to rest on their routes. Ashray was built on the idea that every delivery driver deserves a clean, cool place to rest during their workday,” said Salim R. Memon, Director, Operations, Amazon India. The centres offer air-conditioned seating, drinking water, mobile charging points, clean washrooms, first-aid kits and resting areas. Each centre accommodates 10–15 people and provides free access for up to 30 minutes, with parking facilities. Centres operate year-round from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
