Kikani Alumni Clinch CM Trophy

The CM Trophy tournament held in Coimbatore over the past month concluded with a remarkable victory for former students of Kikani School, who secured top honors in both the men’s and women’s football categories.

The winning teams received cash awards of ₹54,000 each, along with medals and certificates. Though engaged in various professions, the alumni continued to nurture their passion for football, dedicating time to regular practice. Their success was hailed as an inspiring example at a time when many youth are drawn into social media and distractions.

The achievement was credited to the strong sporting foundation built during their school years, particularly under the guidance of coach James Kennedy, who continues to mentor and train them.

District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar, IAS, Coimbatore MP P. R. Ganapathy Rajkumar, Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran, IAS, and Deputy Mayor R. Vetriselvan congratulated the champions. Kikani Physical Education Teacher G. Rajkumar and Coach James Kennedy accompanied the teams during the recognition ceremony.
