Srishti 2025, the much-awaited festive edition curated by the Crafts Council of Tamil Nadu (CCTN), opened today at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam, Avinashi Road, Coimbatore. The three-day event will run until September 20, from 10.30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Now in its 27th year, Srishti has established itself as one of Coimbatore’s most popular annual showcases, bringing together designers, craftepreneurs, and labels that work directly with artisans and weavers. This year’s edition features a wide array of textiles, saris, apparel for men, women and children, jewellery, home décor, linen, and lifestyle accessories. Several new labels are debuting, alongside six food stalls to keep shoppers energised.
CCTN, an NGO affiliated with the Crafts Council of India, Chennai, and the World Crafts Council, has been working for the upliftment of artisans in Tamil Nadu for 38 years. The proceeds from Srishti go towards supporting artisans, including subsidising their participation in the annual Crafts Bazaar in Coimbatore.
Organisers reminded visitors that shopping at Srishti is not just about buying handcrafted products, but also about contributing to a good cause. Shoppers are encouraged to bring their own bags to reduce the use of single-use plastics
