After a brief closure due to heavy rainfall and flooding, Kovai Courtallam Falls and the adjoining Coimbatore Eco-Tourism Park will reopen to visitors from Friday, Nov. 7, according to a statement from the Forest Department.
Officials said the flow of water from the Western Ghats has significantly reduced, and conditions around the falls have returned to normal, making it safe for tourists to visit again.
The popular tourist spot, located within the Poluvampatti Forest Range, was temporarily closed following continuous rain that caused an increase in water levels and minor flooding in the surrounding areas.
“The public will be allowed to visit Kovai Courtallam from Friday. Tourists are requested to follow safety regulations and cooperate with forest staff during their visit,” said the Forest Ranger, Poluvampatti Forest Range, Coimbatore.
