The Tea Trade Association of Coimbatore (TTAC) has elected its new office-bearers for the year 2025-26 at the 43rd Annual General Meeting held on September 27 in Coimbatore. Girish Nair of Parry Agro Industries Ltd has been elected as Chairman, while Dharmesh R Nagda of R J Tea Corporation has been chosen as Vice Chairman.
The annual meeting was attended by prominent personalities from the tea sector and beyond. S. Gurumurthy, eminent thinker and speaker from Chennai, participated as the Chief Guest. C. Murugan, I.A.S., Deputy Chairman of Tea Board India, Kolkata, was present as the Special Guest of Honour. P. G. Arun Lal, I.F.S., Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Tea Plantation Corporation Ltd (TANTEA), Coonoor, attended as the Guest of Honour.
The Association also announced the members of its new Managing Committee. Representing buyer members are U. V. Saraf of Saraf Trading Corporation (International) P Ltd, N. Anand of Shri Shakthi Associates, Utpal Shah of Gimar Food & Beverages P Ltd, Dipak Shah of Crystal Tea (India) P Ltd, Ambarish U. Saraf of Saraf Trading Corporation P Ltd, Rahul Shukla of SSK Exports Ltd, and Ananth Rajagopalan of Tata Consumer Products Ltd.
Representing seller members are B. Rajesh Chander of Hittakkal Estate Tea Factory, B. Sivananthan of Tamil Nadu Tea Plantation Corporation Ltd, C. M. Joseph of Chambala Tea Factory P Ltd, N. Balasubramaniam of Tea Estates India Ltd, Supriyo Paul of Harrisons Malayalam Ltd, Sunil Goyal of Akshaya Tea Industries, and P. B. Achaiah of Tata Coffee Ltd.
Broker members include M. Prabaharan of Forbes Tea Brokers (Coimbatore) and Global Tea Auctioneers P Ltd, P. Saravanan, and Tuhin Debnath, FAO, Tea Board India, Coonoor, who serves as the Tea Board Nominee.
The Association reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Coimbatore’s tea trade ecosystem, ensuring growth for both domestic and international markets under the newly elected leadership.
