After the grand completion of the Ram Temple, Ayodhya is poised to welcome another landmark attraction — the world’s first Ramayana-themed Wax Museum.
Construction of this unique cultural center has been completed, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate it during the Diwali festival, marking yet another milestone in Ayodhya’s transformation as a global spiritual destination. Spread across 9,850 square feet and built at a cost of approximately ₹6 crore, the museum has been designed to transport visitors to the Treta Yuga, the mythological era in which the epic Ramayana took place.
According to officials, the museum aims to combine mythology, art, and technology, offering a deeply immersive experience that appeals to both devotees and tourists.
Inside the museum, visitors will encounter 50 life-size wax figures depicting key characters from the Ramayana — including Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Bharata, Hanuman, Ravana, Vibhishana, Sugriva, and Jatayu. Each statue has been intricately crafted to capture the essence and emotion of the characters, recreating the grandeur of the ancient epic.
The exhibits narrate significant events such as Rama’s coronation, the exile to the forest, Hanuman’s leap to Lanka, the battle against Ravana, and Rama’s triumphant return to Ayodhya.
Enhanced with thematic lighting, background narration, and ambient effects, the museum offers a fusion of devotion and digital artistry. Officials believe the Ramayana Wax Museum will become a major devotional and cultural attraction, further strengthening Ayodhya’s identity as a global center of faith and heritage.
