District Collector Dr. Manish Narnaware conducted inspections at government and private hospitals in Palladam to review healthcare services, patient care and infrastructure facilities.
Acting on the directions of the Tamil Nadu Government, the Collector visited the Palladam Government Hospital and inspected the registration counter, doctors’ consultation rooms, outpatient and inpatient wards, pharmacy and laboratory. He reviewed the availability of medicines, enquired with doctors about treatment being provided to patients and interacted with patients to assess the quality of medical care. He also inspected the ongoing construction of a specialised Accident and Fracture Treatment Unit within the hospital premises.
Subsequently, the Collector inspected Rajeshwari Hospital in Palladam and verified statutory records, including the hospital licence and related documents.
Later, at the Karadivavi K.G. Lakshmipathi Government Hospital, he reviewed treatment facilities, medicine stocks and basic amenities available for patients. He directed officials to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services and adequate medical infrastructure.
Joint Director of Medical Services Dr. Kannan Maharaj, doctors and departmental officials accompanied the Collector during the inspections.
