SBI Smart Agri meet connects farmers with modern banking solutions

The State Bank of India (SBI), Administrative Office, Coimbatore, successfully conducted the SBI Smart Agri Customer Meet 2026 at Hotel Residency Towers in Coimbatore on Monday, bringing together around 120 farmers from Coimbatore, Pollachi, the Nilgiris and nearby regions.
The programme was attended by Ms. S. Haritha Poornima, General Manager, Network III, LHO Chennai, and Arun S.L., Deputy General Manager (Business and Operations), Coimbatore, who interacted with farmers and highlighted the bank’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector.
Senior SBI officials engaged directly with participants, addressing queries related to agricultural finance, banking services and government-supported schemes. An open discussion session enabled farmers to share their views, concerns and suggestions.
During the event, distinguished guests were honoured with mementoes. SBI officials also presented detailed information on key agricultural products and schemes, including Kisan Samriddhi Rin (KSR), Agri Infrastructure Fund, Agri Food and Enterprises Loan (AFEL) and the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme. The meet served as an effective platform for farmers to gain a better understanding of financial assistance, credit facilities and government-backed initiatives aimed at strengthening agricultural growth and rural development. Participants appreciated the programme for providing valuable insights into modern banking solutions and opportunities available for the farming
community.
