KMCH Institute of Health Sciences and Research has been honoured with the Excellence in Research and Innovation award at the AHPI Global Conclave 2026, marking a major milestone in its emergence as a centre of medical education and scientific advancement.
The award ceremony was held on January 23 at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai. The recognition highlights the institute’s steady rise as a leader in research-driven medical education and innovation.
Established with the goal of providing world-class medical education along with affordable healthcare, the institute is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and supported by a dedicated team of medical professionals.
It continues to nurture future doctors through rigorous academic training combined with strong research exposure.
The honours also extended to the parent institution, Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, which secured two additional awards for Excellence in Clinical Operations and Excellence in Emergency Care, reinforcing the KMCH Group’s comprehensive strength across healthcare services.
The conclave brought together leading organisations and experts from the healthcare sector. The award was presented by Dr. Girdhar Gyani, Director General of the Association of Healthcare Providers India, and received on behalf of the institute by Dr. M.G. Sridhar, Dean Academics, KMCH Institute of Health Sciences and Research.

The three awards received by the KMCH Group reflect its sustained commitment to excellence in research, clinical care, and emergency services. Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Nalla G.
