rendra Modi is set to visit Puducherry once again to campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections, with a roadshow planned to mobilise public support.
BJP state president V.P. Ramalingam said preparations for the elections are in full swing, even as the announcement and nomination process began within a short timeframe. He stated that alliance discussions are underway but time remains limited.
Modi had earlier visited Puducherry on March 1, during which he laid the foundation stone for several development projects.
His upcoming visit is expected to focus on election campaigning, though the exact date of the roadshow is yet to be finalised.
Ramalingam expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance would return to power, ensuring stable governance in the Union Territory.
He said Speaker Embalam Selvam and Home Minister A. Namachivayam are travelling to New Delhi with a list of potential candidates, with final selections to be announced by the party leadership.
Senior leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president J.P. Nadda, are also expected to campaign in Puducherry. A major public meeting of NDA leaders is being planned.
The election manifesto is under preparation and is likely to be released within three days.
Seat-sharing arrangements indicate that the NR Congress may contest 16 seats, while BJP and its allies are expected to contest the remaining 14 seats.
