The Executive Committee meeting of the Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI), Tamil Nadu State Kongu Unit, was held at the unit office here on Wednesday, with Unit President Prof. Chandra Thangavel in the chair. Former president A.P.V. Ashok Kumar was present.
EC member Datchinamoorthy welcomed the participants, while Unit Secretary Dr. Raja presented the secretary’s report. Chairman presented a report on the State Branch Triennial Election meeting and Joint Secretary Rajasurya submitted a report on the Independence Day celebration at Kuttaiyur Hills.
CPC member Jayapriya, APC member Chandrasekaran Unit Vice-President Senthil Kumar spoke.
Dr. Raja presented proposals for the unit’s programmes in Sikkim in association with Yuksom School.
Prof. Chandra Thangavel congratulated Dr. Raja on his election as State Vice-President and Rajasurya as State Organising Secretary, Mahendran, State Council Member, and State Chairman Venkat Narayanan and State Secretary C.D. Vivekanandan.
Unit Vice-President Sukumar proposed the vote of thanks.
