Sri Ramakrishna College launches Event Management Club

The newly established Event Management Club of the Department of Management Science at Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts & Science, Nava India, Coimbatore, was inaugurated on Wednesday.
The inaugural function was presided over by Dr. B. L. Shivakumar, Principal and Secretary, Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts & Science. N. Rajan, Founder of Raj Melodies and President of the Event Management Association (EMA), attended as the Chief Guest. He unveiled the club’s logo and addressed the gathering.
Rajan stressed the importance of effective planning, coordination and execution in organising successful events. He also highlighted the growing significance of event management and the need for students to develop professional skills in the field.
C. R. Sudharshanan, II BBA, Student President, and Sriyoganandarao Hanumantharao, II BBA, Student Vice-President, formally assumed their responsibilities. The Principal administered the oath of office to them.
The club has been established to develop management skills among students through practical engagement alongside classroom learning. It will provide opportunities for students to gain experience in leadership, teamwork, communication, organisation and administration through the planning and execution of events.
Dr. K. Sabarinathan, Head of the Department of Management Science, organised the programme with Event Management Club Coordinators Dr. S. Jothilatha, Associate Professor, and Ms. Sindhu Gayathri, Assistant Professor, along with student coordinators.
Faculty members and students from the BBA, BBA CA and BBA Logistics programmes participated in the inaugural
ceremony.
